Alida's Weekly Recap - 9/25-10/1

Welcome October,...I've been waiting for you!  The countdown to Halloween begins, and it is finally socially acceptable to bring out the decorations.  Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, and it's not just because of the candy.  Ok, it is because of the candy - ha!  Seriously, how could you not love a no-pressure holiday that is just plain fun.  Kids in costume, adults in costume, pumpkins, the colors, decorations, candy...love it.  We always have an assortment of Halloween candy on hand to enjoy all month long.  This past week I got a jump start on the candy enjoyment thanks to the Foodbuzz Tastemaker program with Ghirardelli.

This coming week I have some fall-inspired dishes to share with you.  So without further ado, let's recap the week.

This past week I shared with you:

Brown Sugar Brownies

A nice fudgy brownie that melts in your mouth.

Chocolate Ricotta Mousse

Chocolate mousse gets a healthy makeover with ricotta cheese.

Ghirardelli Intense Dark Chocolate

Details of my experience and various pairings with Ghirardelli Intense Dark Chocolate.

Here are a few recipes that caught my eye from this past week:

Pumpkin Cinnamon Streusel Pancakes - from Two Peas and Their Pod -  These pancakes sound incredible.  I love pumpkin anything, and these would definitely be a great way to start the day!

Baked Zucchini Sticks with Caramelized Onion Dip - from Beantown Baker -  A fun and tasty way to enjoy some zucchini.  And caramelized onions make anything delicious.  This goes on the 'must make soon' list.

Peanut Butter Bundt Cake with Chocolate Butterfinger Ganache - from Jolts & Jollies - Ok, seriously?  Peanut butter cake (check).  Chocolate ganache (check).  Butterfinger (check).  This looks amazing!  Very excited to find this new-to-me blog.

Key Lime Pancakes - from Paper Plates and China - These sound absolutely scrumptious.  Love key lime, love pancakes...put them together.  Yum!

Stove Top Macaroni & Cheese - from Confections of a Foodie Bride - One can never have too many mac 'n cheese recipes, especially with a little one in the house.  This looks easy and delicious.

That's all folks.  Have a great weekend!
