Alida's Weekly Recap - 9/18-9/24

With the recent fall inspiration, I've been cooking and baking up a storm.  I am excited to share that all with you, but that will come later.  Next week will not be fall-inspired.  Do you like chocolate?  If so, then you'll love next week, as there will be chocolate and lots of it!  I might balance the week out with a spicy chocolate-free dish, but am in no condition to make those kinds of decisions due my current status, i.e. chocolate coma.  In any case, good stuff is coming, and I'm glad you're here so I can share it with you.

Let's recap the week.  This past week I shared with you:

`
Tortellini Soup with Chunky Tomatoes and Spinach

The day after I made this, I went to the store to buy ingredients to make it again pronto.  This soup is quick and easy...and SO good!

Kelapo Coconut Oil

A product review of Kelapo Coconut Oil, along with a 20% discount code good through 10/20/2011.

Which leads me to...

Brown Sugar Coconut Blueberry Muffins

This may be the best blueberry muffin I have ever had!

Lots of delicious recipes circulating around the web this week...here are a few of my favorites:

Crispy Potato Roast from Prevention RD - This potato dish would make a lovely side to any holiday dinner...it looks amazing (and so simple!).

Peanut Butter Cup Chocolate Cheesecake from Christine's Kitchen Chronicles - Have you seen that amazingly tall cake at The Cheesecake Factory?  This looks like the real thing, only better.  Wow!

Dirty Goldfish and Toasting Dried Chiles from Scarletta Bakes - Not only do these homemade spicy goldfish sound amazing, the post is hilarious!

Samoa Bars (Low Carb and Gluten Free) from All Day I Dream About Food - Whether you call them Caramel De-lites or Samoas, these bars are reminiscent of the classic Girl Scout cookie.  They also happen to be Mike's favorite!

Pizza Stuffed Pretzels from Hezzi D's Book and Cooks - I'm a huge fan of pizza and a huge fan of pretzels.  What a brilliant idea to stuff one inside the other!

Have a great weekend!
